FIDAfrique is the network of projects established by IFAD loans in West and North Africa. The Internet-based network utilizes information-networking technology to access and share information. This increases participation in development for people involved in IFAD-sponsored projects.

Information technology is used to enhance capacity building efforts that will meet information needs and support and speed problem solving across IFAD projects and with the projects' governmental, non-governmental and private sector partners. FIDAFRIQUE provides enhanced, but locally accessible, Internet access and information services.

This infrastructure facilitates and encourages informal exchanges of information about resources, methodologies, techniques and processes on regional and global levels. It allows projects to share experiences and results with similar IFAD projects located elsewhere, distant researchers, as well as with IFAD partners-those groups that are necessary components in any development endeavor. These faster and more direct communications establish informal human networking that contribute to any projects' long-term success.
